Fujinon XF 35mm f/2 R – SOOC Samples

You asked for it, here you have it: a couple of straight out of camera sample images taken with the new XF 35mm f/2 R Fujinon lens. It is not a review, it is not even a first-impressions-kind-of-article. These are just a couple of random shots I took on the day I received my copy of this lens.

These are JPG files. I shot them using mainly the Classic Chrome simulation mode on my X-T1. The ISO was in an Auto mode. And if you would ask me about what my initial impressions are, I would say… I love this lens. It is really small, very compact, very quiet (basically silent). The images, judge it yourself, are beautifully sharp and vivid. The bokeh at f/2 is wonderful. I will still have to wait and test the lens in a dark situation. That’s when I will most probably miss that one extra stop of light, depending on how dark it will be.
