Our cover contributor for this month is Evan Schwanke, who brings us this month’s photo essay, which acts as an ode to Fujifilm as he shares how his one camera and one lens setup (the X-Pro2 with XF35mmF2) has served him faithfully as he has embarked on a series of trips exploring the lower 48 states’ National Parks in the U.S.

Take Kayo brings us into 2024 with a bang in his latest instalment of Take’s Corner, where he predicts that this will be a breakout year for Fujifilm, given its mainstream success and the fact that four out of its seven major X Series line of cameras are either out of production or consistently out of stock.

Paul Choy, meanwhile, takes us to Ethiopia to document the nomadic Bodi tribe of the Omo Valley, marking the beginning of a mission to record the everyday lives, traditions and cultures of under-threat tribal communities across Africa. Next up is Aleksandrs Karevs with an insight into his experience with the X100V and four benefits of using a fixed prime lens.

As usual, we also have our monthly ‘From the Feed’ feature, where we’re sharing four popular images from #myfujilove on Instagram, posted by Rui Macara e Castro, Alan de Leon, Marika Järvinen and Stuart Rodwell

In our FujiLove interview for this month, Victor Fernandes is chatting to Stephanie Baxter about how his passion photography started with his father, how he is inspired by the great artists like Monet and Rembrant and why he chose the GFX system as his creative tool. Kicking us off with a new article series called ‘The Growing Pains of Photography’ is Ibarionex Perello. In his first article of the series he shares the role of discomfort in his photographic life, and how it pushed him towards the opportunities of change and growth.

We’re also thrilled to bring you our ‘Gear Talk’ section of FujiLove Magazine, starting with Rico Pfirstinger, who concludes his 15-part X Series settings guide with a look at the most important network and connections settings. Next up, Piet Van den Eynde shares with us five good Lightroom Classic habits to take up in 2024, while Bobbi Lane takes us behind the scenes of a portrait shoot where she uses high-speed sync and reflectors alongside her X-T5. Rounding off the issue is Dylan Goldby, who is helping us to understand the ins and outs of memory cards by providing us with a very handy buyers’ guide.

Happy reading!
