Our cover contributor for this month is Eugen Kamenew, who is taking us with him on a journey to his home country of Kazakhstan to find the perfect conditions for capturing a solar eclipse. Along the way, he shares with us a bit about Kazakh culture and the wonder of the landscape there.

Take Kayo brings us his latest instalment of Take’s Corner, where he looks forward to the next X Summit announced for 20th February and discusses why a well-designed camera can help create beautiful photographs.

Nina Papiorek, meanwhile, shares with us five tips for creating beautifully minimalistic street shots inspired by her own incredible work. Next up is Emily Endean with this month’s photo essay entitled ‘The Magic of Water’, where she explains her deep connection to water and how she likes to capture it through the lens of her camera.

As usual, we also have our monthly ‘From the Feed’ feature, where we’re sharing four popular images from #myfujilove on Instagram, posted by Remy de Wal, Marcus Lundgren, Scott Tribby and Ladislav Rombald

In our FujiLove interview for this month, Lauren McVeigh is chatting to Stephanie Baxter about how her use of negative space in her photography and how becoming a photographer fulfilled a childhood dream. Continuing his article series, ‘The Growing Pains of Photography’, Ibarionex Perello takes us along with him on a photography workshop held by former National Geographic photographer Sam Abell, showing us how he is putting what he learns into practice.

We’re also thrilled to bring you our ‘Gear Talk’ section of FujiLove Magazine, starting with Rico Pfirstinger, who starts a new article series all about how to expose correctly. Next up, Piet Van den Eynde gives us a deep dive into the Tone Curve tool in Lightroom, while Bobbi Lane takes us behind the scenes of a shoot where she uses Nanlites to create some effective (and gruesome) zombie shots! Rounding off the issue is Dylan Goldby, who is exploring the question of whether buying third-party lenses for your X Series cameras is a good move.

Happy reading!
